The Sil Canyon tour was amazing. Breathtaking landscapes and hidden beauties. Visiting the monasteries was a must. The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Excellent organization. I recommend the tour to anyone who wants to discover the Riberia Sacra.
We took the full-day excursion with a cruise through the Sil Canyon, visits to two monasteries, two viewpoints, and a winery, and we loved it. Diego was an excellent guide, and everything was really convenient: the minibus, the schedule, the food... 100% recommended.
We did the experience last Thursday, and I have nothing but gratitude. It was truly wonderful. The guide was friendly at all times, explaining everything in great detail. I'm very happy and I highly recommend the experience.
If you go to the Ribeira Sacra, I would recommend this excursion, complete and with the experience of Diego, its guide who explained everything to us with great kindness and sympathy with the convenience of being picked up and dropped off at the Parador de Santo Estevo.
A well-organized excursion through the Ribeira Sacra. The area is well worth exploring. Diego was our guide, who demonstrated a command and knowledge of the area that made the experience even more enjoyable.
Well organised tour, professionally run, our guide Diego was helpful and coped well with providing some commentary in English for the only participant who was not Spanish (me)
We took the Ribeira Sacra tour last week and it was a great experience. Diego is an exceptional guide; he knows a lot about his province and its art history, and he conveys it wonderfully. The catamaran tour on the Sil River is a very cool experience.
A very complete excursion. In the morning we visited a monastery (not the one we had originally planned, but which pleasantly surprised us), followed by a boat trip along the river. We booked lunch as part of the excursion, and I think it was the best choice. A menu with several options for starters, main courses, and dessert. Very delicious. After lunch, we went to two viewpoints and another monastery, and finally to the castle (we didn't book the wine cellar). The truth is, the castle should also be a must-see because it's so interesting. On the other hand, Diego, our guide, also made the excursion very enjoyable; this is also important. And I can't forget to mention the minibus driver, who took us along those narrow, winding roads. I 100% recommend it.
We had an incredible experience with Verdant Experiences in the Ribeira Sacra. From the beginning, everything was clearly well-organized, but without seeming forced. It was comfortable, fluid, and very well thought out.
I want to give special mention to Diego, our guide. He's clearly passionate about what he does and knows the area like the back of his hand. The best part is how he explains it: with enthusiasm, but without a prefabricated speech. He adapts to the group, answering questions, sharing interesting facts, and makes you feel part of the place.
One of the things we valued most was that we didn't go to random or overly touristy places. It was clear that each stop was chosen with intention: small but high-quality wineries, spectacular viewpoints, cultural spots not covered in guidebooks. And that makes all the difference.
It was much more than just an excursion. We left feeling like we had experienced something special, that we had better understood the Ribeira Sacra, and that we enjoyed without rushing. Very different from other more generic experiences in the area.
